Senior Structural Engineer

Duties and responsibilities

• Performing structural calculations ranging from scantling checks and simple beam validations to comprehensive local and global FEM analyses.
• Preparing structural drawings for approval by Classification Societies and Authorities, including managing and resolving comments.
• Coordinating structural work across engineering departments to ensure optimal, functional, and sustainable vessel design.
• Maintaining effective communication with external stakeholders including Client, Classification Societies, regulatory authorities, other design offices and vendors.
• In addition to performing discrete technical tasks within larger projects, you may perform the role of Project Manager.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc degree in a related engineering field (Ocean Engineering, Shipbuilding, Ship Design, Naval Architecture, etc.).
• At least 8 -10 years of post-graduation experience in structural engineering in ship design.
• Experience with IACS Classification Society (DNV, ABS, BV, LR) rules and dedicated class-related software.
• Hands-on experience with at least one FEA tool (ANSYS, FEMAP, or Genie).
• Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
• Permanent residence in Poland.
