<h2>About the position </h2>We invite applications for a 6‑month position in our project on cell-based therapy for inherited bleeding disorders. The position is part of an ongoing project funded by the Norwegian Research Council and affiliated with the Institute of Clinical Medicine, Division of Cancer Medicine, University of Oslo, with daily work based at Oslo University Hospital, Rikshospitalet.  The research group has long-standing expertise in basic, translational and clinical research on blood coagulation factors and their role in disease.  <h2>More about the position </h2>The project focuses on inherited factor VII (FVII) deficiency, a rare but serious bleeding disorder caused by mutations in the F7 gene, leading to markedly reduced FVII activity, and applies advanced technologies such as  CRISPR-based gene editing, induced pluripotent stem cells and liver organoids to rescue the FVII expression in patient-derived cells.The position will support continued experimental work and data analysis within in vivo pre-clinical studies, which form an important foundation for future cell-based therapies in patients with FVII deficiency. The research fellow is expected to contribute actively to experimental design, execution and troubleshooting, as well as to the interpretation and reporting of results.  <h2>Qualifications </h2>Qualification requirements<ul><li>MSc (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline (e.g. medicine, molecular biology, cell biology, biotechnology or similar). </li><li>Demonstrated ability to design, plan and execute in vitro and in vivo experiments. </li><li>Formal accreditation for work with animal models (e.g. FELASA C or equivalent) AND experience with mouse surgery and xenotransplant. </li><li>Experience with stem cell work and stem cell-derived 3D hepatic organoid differentiation. </li><li>Proficiency in English, both written and oral. </li></ul> Persoonal skills<ul><li>We are looking for a candidate who is: </li><li>Highly motivated and enthusiastic about translational research </li><li>Organized, structured and able to work independently </li><li>Flexible </li><li>A team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills </li></ul> <h2>We need different perspectives in our work </h2>UiO is an open and internationally oriented comprehensive university that strives to be an inclusive and diverse workplace and academic environment.
