<h2>About the position</h2><p>The Faculty of Theology, University of Oslo invites applicants for up to 2-3 Doctoral Fellowships. The PhD-positions will be connected with one of the faculty&#39;s present research groups (<a href="https://www.tf.uio.no/english/research/groups/" rel="nofollow">https://www.tf.uio.no/english/research/groups/</a>) or research fields. Applicants are required to develop a PhD-project thematically relevant to the ongoing research at the faculty.</p><h2>More about the position</h2><p>The appointment is for a period of 3 years, with the possibility of a one-year extension. All Ph.D. Research Fellows who submit their doctoral dissertation for assessment within 3 years after employment will be offered a 12-month Completion Grant. It will involve other career-promoting work consisting of pedagogical training, teaching, supervision, and research. This will depend on the candidate&#39;s qualifications and the needs of the faculty.</p><p>Candidates will join and take an active part in and contribute to the work of the faculty’s research group(s) relevant to their field of study. A research stay abroad for up to six months during the employment period is strongly encouraged.</p><p>Permanent residence in Oslo or within commuting distance from Oslo is expected during the appointment. Place of work is the Faculty of Theology at Blindern, Oslo.</p><h2>Qualifications</h2><p><strong>Qualification requirements</strong></p><ul><li>To be admitted to the PhD programme at the Faculty of Theology, an applicant must have a five-year master&#39;s degree (incl. 3 years BA &#43; 2 years MA) or equivalent in theology/religious studies, or in other relevant fields. The master’s degree must have been obtained by the application deadline.</li><li>Good written and oral proficiency in English is required.
