Project Specialist - Technical Authority

Do you have a strong technical offshore background and an interest in technical integrity, safety and offshore operations?

OSM Thome is looking for aProject Specialist - Technical Authority to strengthen our team in Arendal. We are looking for someone who combines theoretical knowledge, practical technical experience with an understanding of how equipment, maintenance, barriers and regulatory requirements come together to ensure safe and reliable offshore operations.

• Support and follow up technical integrity and performance standards for offshore units

• Carry out and follow up technical verifications and identify areas requiring improvement

• Follow up technical barriers, maintenance, critical equipment and work with remedial actions

• Support compliance with requirements from authorities, class, clients and OSM Thome

• Work closely with onboard management, shore operation team, project team and technical specialists

• Contribute to safe and efficient operation and continuous improvement

You may have a university degree or practical education with background as a marine engineer, mechanical engineer, technical superintendent, offshore engineer or senior technical officer.

• Strong technical and operational understanding

• Experience from offshore unit operation, shipyard or newbuilding / modification projects

• Knowledge of technical integrity, maintenance, barriers or regulatory compliance

• Ability to evaluate technical issues and turn findings into practical actions

• A structured, safety-focused and solution-oriented approach

• Good communication skills and ability to work across different technical disciplines

• A key technical role supporting safe and reliable offshore operations

• Varied work across technical disciplines, operations and projects
