Are you ready to shape the future of business applications in one of the leading snacking companies in the Nordics and Baltics?Orkla Snacks is looking for a Solution Architect to play a key role in developing, implementing and improving our central business applications across Order to Cash (O2C) , Hire to Retire (H2R), Marketing & Sales. This is a new and important position in our Business Applications team, created to support our new operating model and strengthen how technology enables our business.
As Solution Architect, you will act as a strategic partner between business and IT, helping translate business needs into scalable, secure and efficient application solutions. You will work closely with business stakeholders, process owners, vendors and IT colleagues to ensure that our application landscape supports current and future business requirements.
About the roleIn this role, you will be responsible for driving the application roadmap and architecture within O2C, H2R, Marketing & Sales, with a strong focus on SAP S/4, SAP SuccessFactors and related business applications. You will help simplify and harmonize our application landscape, reduce complexity and enable better processes, automation and data-driven decisions across Orkla Snacks.
The role reports to Head of Business Applications.
Key responsibilities- Lead dialogue with business stakeholders and act as a trusted advisor on application capabilities and opportunities.
- Own and develop and maintain application roadmaps and lifecycle plans within O2C, H2R, Marketing & Sales, aligned with business priorities and IT strategy.
- Design and select scalable, secure, and efficient application architectures that support current and future business needs.
- Oversee and document the O2C, H2R, Marketing & Sales application portfolio.
- Act as the main IT point of contact for relevant process owners and business managers.
- Translate business needs into technology requirements and lead cross-functional initiatives to support the design and delivery of impactful solutions.
- Drive standardization, harmonization, automation, and continuous improvement across the application landscape.
- Establish and run governance forums to ensure strategic alignment and value-based development efforts.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, vendors and industry trends, particularly within the SAP suite.
- Manage vendors and strategic partners, including evaluation, selection, performance follow-up, and contract-related activities.
- Ensure applications comply with relevant technology standards, security practices and risk requirements
What we are looking for
We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect with strong SAP expertise and a solid understanding of business processes within Marketing, Sales, Order Management, Finance and HR. You are comfortable working at the intersection of business and IT, and you know how to turn complex requirements into practical and value-creating application solutions.
You build strong relationships, communicate clearly and collaborate well across functions, countries and cultures. You are structured, analytical and results-oriented, with the ability to define direction, get others on board and drive initiatives forward.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with SAP ERP, preferably in the FMCG industry and ideally within food and beverage.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of SAP environments, particularly SAP S/4 and SAP SuccessFactors.
- Experience designing, configuring and maintaining business applications.
- Experience with application governance, lifecycle management and application roadmaps.
- Proven ability to collaborate with business stakeholders and translate business needs into successful system designs and implementations.
- Experience with outsourcing vendors, SaaS platforms and international stakeholder environments.
- Knowledge of application architectures, integration patterns, cloud technologies and security best practices.
- Fluency in English is required, and proficiency in other Nordic languages is considered an advantage.
