Norsk Titanium is pioneering a new era of on-demand metal additive manufacturing that will revolutionize the raw material supply chain. We are the world’s first and only OEM qualified supplier of additively manufactured structural titanium components. At Norsk Titanium, we are committed to mutual growth and success. Our innovative team provides training and mentorship from global subject matter experts.

We aim to strengthen our engineering team with an experienced and result driven Senior Process and Materials Engineer to strengthen our RPD® process control capabilities and understanding.

As we scale our technology, the role will be key in improving the robustness, repeatability and profitability of our RPD® additive manufacturing process.

An important part of the role is also to develop a fundamental understanding of how process parameters influence material integrity and mechanical properties and translate this knowledge into practical process improvements and industrial solutions.

You will be part of the Eggemoen Technology Center team, working alongside experts in automation, mechanical design, software development, metallurgy, process control, and image processing.

What your days look like:
  • Develop and maintain in-depth expertise in our RPD® additive manufacturing process, material science and metallurgy, particularly Titanium and Nickel-based alloys.

  • Work closely with colleagues at our New York production facilities to implement new technology and improvements into manufacturing operations.

  • Lead and contribute to technical projects targeting improvement of process robustness, deposition rate, part profitability from problem identification and experimentation through validation and implementation, focusing on process robustness.

  • Design, execute and analyze experiments to understand process variability, identify root causes and establish robust processing windows.

  • Develop, validate and document process models and parameters governing deposition geometry and transient behavior, including ramp-up and ramp-down conditions.

  • Translating business and production needs into practical, technically sound solutions, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation.

  • Investigate and establish relationships between process conditions, material integrity and mechanical properties to support reliable and repeatable production.

  • Ensure that technical findings are translated into documented, validated and sustainable process improvements.

We’re thrilled to find Candidates with:
  • A university degree in Materials Science, Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering or Physics.

  • 5+ years’ work experience within additive manufacturing, preferably with metals.

  • Solid experience in process development, process optimization or industrialization, preferably within advanced manufacturing or metal processing.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate complex technical challenges, identify root causes and develop practical solutions.

  • Good understanding of the relationship between manufacturing process parameters, material microstructure, integrity and mechanical properties.

  • Experience with process monitoring, process control, statistical process control (SPC) or manufacturing data analysis is an advantage.

  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, multicultural environment, influence others, share knowledge, and strengthen team capability.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to communicate and defend technical recommendations clearly with colleagues, customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.

  • A flexible and open mindset, with a willingness to take on new challenges and adapt to evolving technical and business needs.

  • A proactive attitude and technical curiosity, ability to work independently with the confidence to share ideas, challenge assumptions, and contribute constructively to discussions.

We have a lot to offer you:
  • A highly skilled and multidisciplinary engineering environment with creative and talented colleagues.

  • International and good work environment.

  • Interesting and challenging work assignments.

  • The chance to make huge improvements and to see immediate results.

  • Independent tasks and projects in combination with teamwork.

  • Company Fun Club.

  • Good pension and insurance plan.

  • Competitive compensation.

  • Cafeteria serving delicious food.
