Senior Advisor, Global Results Management
The Department of International Programmes (DIP) is seeking a Senior Advisor for Global Results Management to strengthen NCA's work on results management, monitoring, evaluation and organisational learning.
The position is part of the Accountability & Knowledge Division (A&K) and plays a key role in ensuring that NCA has robust systems and approaches for measuring, analysing and communicating results across its global programme portfolio.
As Senior Advisor, you will have a central role in the development and stewardship of NCA's global indicators and results framework. This includes supporting its consistent application across country offices, strengthening organisational capacity in results management, and ensuring that data and evidence are used effectively for learning, decision-making and accountability.
The role combines technical expertise with collaboration across the organisation. You will work closely with country office colleagues, thematic advisors, grant managers and donor-facing teams to strengthen data quality, reporting and compliance with donor requirements. You will also contribute to further development of systems, tools and methodologies that support results measurement and reporting.
As NCA's global lead for indicators and results management, you will contribute to organisational learning by promoting common standards, good practice and capacity development across programmes and countries. The position also has an important role in consolidating and communicating global results and impact to internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate with:
- Higher education, preferably at Master's level, in a relevant field. Relevant professional experience may compensate for formal qualifications.
- Solid knowledge of monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning (MEAL/MEL) principles and practices.
- Experience with results frameworks, indicators, data analysis and impact measurement.
- Experience working with institutional donor requirements and reporting, preferably including Norad and ECHO.
- Experience developing methodologies, guidance materials, tools or frameworks related to results management.
- Experience planning and facilitating trainings, workshops and other capacity development initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate technical requirements into practical solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
The following will be considered an advantage:
- Experience from fundraising and donor engagement.
- Experience with digital systems for data collection, reporting and analysis.
- Experience from international development and/or humanitarian work.
- Knowledge of Norwegian and additional languages.
- Experience in results management for programmes and projects supporting civil society,
- Experience in locally led development, democratic participation, and human rights is a plus.
- Experience from humanitarian field operations with direct field presence and first-hand exposure to operational realities.
