We are looking for a Product Verification Engineer who enjoys development, automation, laboratory investigation and close cooperation with other engineers. The role strengthens product development by turning requirements, risks and standards into effective, repeatable tests. You will work across software, firmware, electronics and complete products, contribute early to projects, influence testability and quality, automate test execution and provide objective evidence that solutions perform as intended in demanding maritime and safety-critical applications.

As a Product Verification Engineer, you will help ensure that quality, reliability and testability are built into our products throughout the development process.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning verification activities based on requirements, system architecture, identified risks and intended product use.
• Developing and maintaining manual and automated tests at unit, integration, system and end-to-end levels.
• Creating and maintaining test software, tools and automation solutions using Python, C++ and other relevant technologies.
• Designing reusable test frameworks, simulators, fixtures and tools that support efficient development and repeatable results.
• Analyzing failures, identifying root causes and verifying corrective actions in collaboration with development teams.
• Supporting modular product development by defining testable interfaces, acceptance criteria and integration verification strategies.
• Contributing to design and requirement reviews, testability assessments and the continuous improvement of engineering processes.

Whether your background is in software development, electronics, systems engineering or test automation, you are eager to broaden your expertise and contribute throughout the product development process.

• You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Electronics, Automation, Cybernetics, Computer Engineering or a related discipline. Relevant professional experience may compensate for formal qualifications.
• You have experience in one or more areas such as software development, embedded systems, electronics, test automation or system integration.
• You have programming skills in Python and/or C++.
• You have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• You communicate well in English and Norwegian, both verbally and in writing.

The following experience is considered an advantage:

• Linux, scripting, Git, CI/CD and automated testing.
• Embedded systems, communication protocols, network analysis or laboratory equipment.
• Requirements-based testing, risk-based testing or safety-critical development.
• Maritime technology, environmental testing, IEC standards or regulated product development.
• Test architecture and management tools, diagnostics, self-test functionality and error handling.
• Cybersecurity, QT, use of AI tools, Labview
