The Peace Research Institute Oslo (PRIO) is an independent, international and interdisciplinary research institute committed to advancing knowledge for a more peaceful world. PRIO is one of the largest social science research institutes in Norway, with over 100 staff members of 25 different nationalities, and a dynamic and collegial work environment. English is our working language. PRIO is recognized worldwide for its cutting-edge research, which spans multiple academic disciplines. We contribute to major public debates and engage with international organizations like the UN, the World Bank and the EU, and Norwegian and international policymakers. We aim to make our research available beyond the academic community to a diverse and expanding audience.
