Business Applications Specialist \| Golar LNG

Golar LNG is looking for a Business Applications Specialistto join our IT team.

This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who is interested in technology, business applications and digitalisation, and wants to develop their skills in a modern IT environment.

You will work with a broad range of business applications, with a particular focus on Microsoft technologies such as SharePoint, Power Apps, Power Automate and Dynamics 365, as well as other applications used across Golar LNG.

You do not need to be an expert in these technologies when you join us. We are looking for someone with a good technical foundation, a genuine interest in learning and a willingness to take on increasing responsibility as you develop.

You will work closely with experienced colleagues in IT, business users and external partners to support existing applications, solve problems and help improve the way technology is used across Golar LNG.

As you develop in the role, you will be involved in:

• Supporting and managing SharePoint sites and solutions.

• Building and maintaining solutions using Power Apps and Power Automate.

• Supporting Dynamics 365 and other business applications.

• Managing application access, permissions and configuration.

• Working with colleagues across Golar to understand requirements and find practical solutions.

• Identifying opportunities to simplify and automate business processes.

• Testing and implementing changes to applications.

• Working with external vendors and implementation partners.

• Maintaining application documentation.

• Learning and applying good practices for application management, security and governance.

• Contributing to the continuous improvement of Golar's application landscape.

You will receive guidance and support from the wider IT team and will gradually take greater responsibility for applications and solutions as your experience grows.

We are primarily looking for potential and motivation rather than many years of experience.

You may be a recent graduate, have a few years of relevant experience, or have gained practical IT knowledge through another role.

• Are curious about how technology can improve and automate business processes.

• Communicate clearly and are comfortable asking questions when you don't know the answer.

You are curious, willing to learn and motivated to develop your technical skills. You should enjoy understanding a problem, exploring possible solutions and learning the technology required to solve it.

Over time, we want you to develop a broad understanding of Golar's business applications and become someone colleagues can rely on to help improve, support and manage them.

You will join Golar's IT team and gain hands-on experience with technologies supporting business processes across the organisation.

Rather than focusing on a single application, you will have the opportunity to work across a broad technology landscape, including Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Power Platform, Dynamics 365 and other business applications.
