Marked Analyst - Floating Solar

Fred. Olsen 1848 is an innovation and technology company dedicated to developing solutions that address key challenges within emerging renewable energy sectors.

We are currently advancing Brizo, our floating solar technology designed for operation in exposed coastal and wave-prone environments where conventional floating solar solutions are unable to operate. Developed by Fred. Olsen 1848 and independently reviewed by DNV, Brizo represents a new approach to floating solar deployment and is being prepared for international commercialization.

To support this journey, we are looking for a curious, commercially minded and analytically strong Market Analyst who wants to help us understand markets, identify opportunities and contribute to the growth of an emerging renewable energy technology.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone early in their career who enjoys combining market research, commercial thinking and strategic analysis. You do not need to be an expert in floating solar from day one. We are looking for someone with the drive and curiosity to learn, ask questions and grow alongside the business.

Based at our headquarters in Oslo, you will work closely with colleagues across commercial, technical and project disciplines and gain unique exposure to technology commercialization, market development and strategic decision-making.

As Market Analyst, you will play an important role in helping us understand customers, competitors and market opportunities across the floating solar sector.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting market and competitor analysis within floating solar and adjacent renewable energy sectors.
• Monitoring market trends, customer demand, regulatory developments and commercial opportunities.
• Identifying potential customers, partners and project opportunities across priority markets.
• Supporting commercial teams with market assessments, presentations and decision-support material.
• Contributing to commercial and financial evaluations related to new markets, business cases and investment opportunities.
• Supporting business development activities, tenders and commercialization initiatives.
• Monitoring relevant funding programmes and assessing opportunities related to technology deployment and market entry.

You will also have the opportunity to engage with customers, industry stakeholders and partners, helping to translate market insights into actionable recommendations for the business.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical skills and an interest in understanding markets, industries and commercial opportunities.
• Ability to turn data and information into clear insights and recommendations.
• Strong Excel skills and a structured approach to analysis.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
• Interest in renewable energy, innovation and emerging technologies.
• Experience with Power BI, Python or similar analytical tools is beneficial.
• Experience from internships, student projects or professional roles within analysis, consulting, business development, strategy or renewable energy is considered an advantage, but not a requirement.
