Senior Process Engineer

Would you like to take a key role in developing Aragon's growing process engineering team in Oslo?

We are looking for an experienced Senior Process Engineer who wants to work with challenging projects across new energies, carbon capture, utilisation & storage (CCUS), offshore oil & gas and floating LNG.

Aragon is a technology and full-service EPC company delivering innovative, high-performance solutions for the evolving energy industry. As we continue to expand our presence in Oslo, we are looking for another experienced Senior Process Engineer to strengthen our team at Lysaker.

You will join an experienced Engineering Director and another Senior Process Engineer already based in Oslo, while working closely with Aragon's established engineering organisation in Bergen. This is an opportunity to combine hands-on technical work with the possibility to influence and help develop our growing Oslo engineering environment.

Role & Responsibilities

• Responsible for process and utility system design across project phases

• Perform process simulations and heat and material balances

• Develop and verify key process deliverables, including PFDs, P&IDs, datasheets, line sizing, calculations and technical documentation

• Specify and size process equipment

• Technical lead of concept and feasibility studies

• Evaluate technologies and develop technical recommendations

• Develop and review project philosophies and technical specifications

• Present process systems in design reviews and HAZOP studies

• Work closely with other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated and high-quality project execution

• Prepare technical reports including study/FEED reports and system descriptions

• Contribute to the continuous development of methodology, tools and competence within Aragon's Process Department

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with:

• Relevant Master’s degree

• Solid relevant experience within process engineering, typically 5+ years

• Experience from concept and/or FEED studies

• Experience within one or more relevant areas such as CCUS, gas processing, LNG/FLNG, FPSO, ammonia, methanol or other new energy technologies

• Strong process simulation skills, preferably using UniSim and/or Aspen HYSYS

• Ability to take technical ownership of concept and feasibility studies

• Experience working in multidisciplinary engineering environments

• Experience communicating directly with clients, vendors and other stakeholders

• A solution-oriented and commercial mindset, with the ability to balance technical quality and project needs

• Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal

• Flexibility to travel or work from other locations when required

You are proactive, self-driven and comfortable taking responsibility. You enjoy solving complex technical challenges and working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
