The Arctic Circle Center was officially opened on 13 July 1990 and is located at E6 on Saltfjellet and is located at 66º33'N and approx. 680 meters above sea level. It is located on the border of Saltfjellet-Svartisen National Park and the nearest large town is Mo i Rana.
Inside the center there is a comprehensive souvenir and gift shop; Arctic Shop and a Bistro. In total, this is distributed over approx. 1,300 m². The Arctic Circle, which moves a few meters each year, originally passed right through the center. That is why it is a big attraction for our guests to see the Arctic Circle statue, get a certificate as proof that you have crossed the Arctic Circle, send postcards with our own Arctic Circle stamp and visit the beautiful nature around.
200,000 visitors from all over the world and the season extends from approx. April to October.
The Arctic Circle Center is a unique and hectic workplace where you can help run one of Norway's most visited tourist centers.
