Your Role:
As a Principal Project Engineer within Control Systems, you’ll take the lead in technical project engineering activities. From system design and configuration to programming, testing, and commissioning ABB control systems, you will play a pivotal role in delivering cutting-edge solutions. Our focus is on modernizing and optimizing control systems in the Norwegian energy sector, particularly in oil and gas, both onshore and offshore.
You’ll work with advanced technologies such as 800xA, Advant, Safeguard, Harmony/Symphony+, and Melody, ensuring that our systems meet the highest standards of reliability and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
<ul><li>
Serve as the technical lead for project engineering, testing, and on-site installations (both onshore and offshore).
</li><li>
Ensure project activities align with contract specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.
</li><li>
Lead and guide technical project teams to success.
</li><li>
Be prepared for some travel as part of the role.
</li></ul>
Your Background:
<ul><li>
Bachelor OR Master degree in Automation, Cybernetics, IT, Process Control, or related fields.
</li><li>
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the Norwegian energy industry.
</li><li>
Expertise in control systems with a strong commercial and technical understanding.
</li><li>
Excellent communication skills in English (Norwegian proficiency is a plus).

Vår kunde har økende prosjektvolum innen automasjon, spesielt innen modifikasjonsprosjekter og oppgraderinger av kontrollsystemer i den norske energiindustrien, både onshore og offshore.
Du vil jobbe med avansert teknologi som 800xA, Advant, Safeguard, Harmony/Symphony+ og Melody, og bidra til å sikre stabile, effektive og langsiktige løsninger.
Ansvarsområder:
<ul><li>
Teknisk ansvarlig for prosjektering, testing og installasjon på site (onshore og offshore).
</li><li>
Sikre at prosjektaktiviteter gjennomføres effektivt, kostnadseffektivt og i tråd med kontrakter, kvalitetsstandarder og sikkerhetskrav.
</li><li>
Lede tekniske prosjektteam og være en drivkraft for suksess.
</li><li>
Reising må påregnes.
</li></ul>
Din bakgrunn:
<ul><li>
Bachelor eller Master grad innen automasjon, kybernetikk, IT, prosesstyring eller lignende.
</li><li>
Du har minst 10 års erfaring fra den norske energiindustrien.
</li><li>
Solid kunnskap om kontrollsystemer og sterk kommersiell forståelse.
</li><li>
Gode kommunikasjonsferdigheter på engelsk, skriftlig og muntlig (norsk er en fordel).
</li></ul>
