With the merger in 2014, Norsvin and Topigs Norsvin became a global leader in pig breeding and artificial insemination. The two companies share research and development activities, which has resulted in the creation of a strong international organization with a world-leading position in swine genetics. The head office of Topigs Norsvin is in 's-Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands, while the head office of Norsvin is in Hamar, Norway.
The company works with local subsidiaries, joint ventures, and distributors, combining genetics, service, and knowledge to meet client needs in the marketplace. Research, innovation, and genetic improvement are the organization's cornerstones, and it has research and development programs internally as well as with leading universities and research institutes worldwide.
