Why we care about the forest, you ask?
Because 99% of all CO2 removal today happens in nature, and trees are the original gangsters of carbon removal - by far the most effective. The boreal forest alone is the world's largest carbon sink, yet it is often overlooked when it comes to fighting climate change. And our forests are under immense pressure. With urban development timber demand is estimated to increase by up to 60 percent in the coming decades. Meeting this growing demand - without causing further forest degradation - will require new, robust management practices and incentives.
The Noora platform delivers just that, leveraging technology to make it easy for forest owners to assess the carbon income potential in their forest. Forest owners get easy access to suitability analysis and carbon income calculations, making carbon projects a profitable choice in their forest management strategy.
