This is a brand-new role in a brand-new division—Emerging Solutions—tasked with driving competitiveness through cross-divisional innovation and new business models. You will report directly to EVP Emerging Solutions and play a pivotal role in shaping the commercial and financial mindset of the division. Your missionAs Vice President Commercial and Finance, you will lead the commercial strategy and financial operations of the Emerging Solutions division. Your mission is to ensure that business model development and innovation progress in parallel with technical development, enabling Kongsberg Maritime to deliver profitable, customer-centric solutions. You will: <ul><li>Drive commercial culture and mindset, ensuring that the division prioritizes the right opportunities and develops business models that benefit both Kongsberg Maritime and its customers.</li><li>Lead financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, and compliance—working closely with Kongsberg Maritime’s central finance team.</li><li>Align profitability and track commercial performance, collaborating across teams to validate returns on new products and services and develop and monitor KPIs, and assess financial results.</li><li>Coordinate cross-divisional efforts, managing part-time resources from other departments and potentially building a dedicated finance team within Emerging Solutions.</li><li>Support strategic decision-making, ensuring qualitative and quantitative data are available for gate reviews and initiative prioritization and contribute to partnerships and M&amp;A initiatives, supporting strategic growth and innovation.</li><li>Collaborate across key functions, including Finance, Business Development, Sales, and Technology Office, to gather market intelligence and explore external funding opportunities.</li><li>Coach and inspire, fostering a strong commercial mindset across the division and contributing to its strategic direction and success. </li></ul>We think you should have<ul><li>Worked in commercial and financial roles, with a proven track record of direct positive impact on bottom line results.</li><li>Experience from a B2B business providing technology solutions preferably but not necessary with experience from industries such as shipping, energy, process industry or other.</li><li>Strong commercial acumen identifying opportunities as well as being able to manage risk.</li><li>Strong analytical and quantitative skills and able to independently build financial and business models.</li><li>Relevant higher education within finance, business or other</li><li>Experience leading or working in multidisciplinary cross-functional teams and influencing and managing complex stakeholder relationships.</li></ul> At KONGSBERG, we believe that diversity fuels innovation.
