We are seeking a commercially driven and structured Global Procurement Category Manager to strengthen our global sourcing and category management at Ekornes. You will be joining one of the Nordic region's most iconic industrial companies - the home of Stressless®, Svane® and IMG. As Global Procurement Category Manager, you will take ownership of one or more material categories and play a key role in developing sourcing and procurement strategies. You will collaborate closely with teams across planning, operations, R&amp;D and cross-functional analytics teams. This role offers the opportunity to work globally while contributing directly to procurement performance, structure and optimization.
As Global Procurement Category Manager at Ekornes, you will:

be responsible for managing the assigned category regarding sourcing and replenishment strategies, negotiations, contracts, spend, cost, working capital, and service
</li><li>
maintain a solid supplier base that supports the company's growth strategy by ensuring competitiveness through favorable terms
</li><li>
explore new and alternative materials within the category.
</li><li>
collaborate with key personnel to ensure accurate specifications and company expectations.
</li><li>
use data and control strategies to identify and prevent risks.
</li></ul>
We are looking for a candidate with an academic background, preferably within economics, IT or engineering. You bring experience from procurement, category management or supply chain, and are familiar with ERP and MRP systems. You understand the link between sourcing, inventory and working capital, and are comfortable working analytically with data and suppliers. You communicate fluently in English and collaborate well across functions and geographies.
You will be part of the global procurement organization and report to the VP Procurement, Bjørn Årdal. The role can be based in Sykkylven, Oslo, or one of our international locations (e.g. Thailand, USA or Lithuania) -- depending on candidate profile.
