The Commercial Country Lead is responsible for driving business growth, overseeing new sales initiatives, and ensuring market alignment in the designated country. This role requires a strategic mindset, leadership capabilities, and the ability to work cross-functionally to align commercial, product, and legal aspects. The Commercial Country Lead will also act as a key representative for the company in the local market, ensuring operational efficiency and collaboration between teams.The position is part of Avarda’s commercial leadership team. Key Responsibilities:1. New Sales and Growth Responsibility<ul><li>Drive new sales efforts and lead initiatives to increase market share.</li><li>Develop and execute a growth strategy aligned with overall company goals.</li><li>Identify new business opportunities and partnerships to ensure a strong pipeline to drive revenue growth.</li><li>Monitor sales- and financial performance and use data driven insights to optimize strategies for continuous improvement and develop accurate forecasts.</li></ul>2. Market-Specific Product Improvement<ul><li>Act as the local market expert, identifying gaps and opportunities for product adaptation.</li><li>Provide structured feedback to the product development team on necessary improvements.</li><li>Work closely with merchants to understand their needs and align services accordingly.</li><li>Ensure that product offerings remain competitive and relevant within the local market.</li><li>Align with commercial offering to ensure relevant local “go to market” plans.</li></ul>3. Compliance and Regulatory Support<ul><li>Stay updated on local legal regulations and market changes.</li><li>Support the legal team by providing local expertise and insights.</li><li>Ensure that all commercial activities are aligned with regulatory requirements.</li><li>Liaise with legal teams to adapt business practices in accordance with changing legislation.</li></ul>4. Sales Organization Leadership<ul><li>Organize and lead the local sales team with a structured way of working.</li><li>Provide training, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for the team.</li><li>Establish performance metrics and KPIs to measure team success.</li><li>Cultivate a positive and inclusive culture that foster collaboration, innovation and high-performance within the sales organization.</li></ul>5. Office Leadership, Local Market Alignment and Thought Leadership<ul><li>Establish yourself and Avarda as industry leaders.</li><li>Represent the company at industry events and networking opportunities.</li><li>Act as the face of the company in the local office, ensuring strong leadership presence.</li><li>Drive local initiatives and ensure alignment with other country operations. Assure productive and functional collaboration with teams across the organization – key focus on KAM, marketing, product development, commercial offering and customer operations teams to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.</li></ul>Required Skills &amp; Qualifications: <ul><li>Proven experience in sales leadership, business development and commercial strategy.</li><li>Strong knowledge of the local market, including regulatory and competitive landscape.</li><li>Ability to analyze market trends and adapt strategies accordingly.</li><li>Excellent leadership, coaching, and team management skills.</li><li>Strong communication and negotiation skills.</li><li>Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.</li><li>Experience in the payments, fintech, or e-commerce industry is a plus.</li></ul>
