Autostore is hiring a Mechanical Engineer for our Grid Team and connected products (R&amp;D). The Grid is the mechanical framework that our Cube Storage System is built on top of. You will take technical ownership of our Grid and connected systems , execute changes and upgrades , and work with relevant stakeholders to to roll them out effectively.
Task and Responsibilities:
<li>Maintain a comprehensive overview of the grid and connected products, ensuring quality, structural integrity, and design alignment</li>

<li>Assess product performancewithin the AutoStore context, identifying technical gaps and driving broad improvements</li>

<li>Be hands-on in structural evaluations such as floor level accuracy, load calculations, and compliance with seismic and engineering standards.</li>

<li>Collaborate cross-functionally with Partners, Product Owners, Project Managers, and R&amp;D teams to meet project objectives</li>

<li>Lead improvement initiativesby assembling and guiding project teams while fostering a collaborative, cross-disciplinary development culture</li>
Requirements:
<li>5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering with emphasis on structural analysis, including floor slab design, load calculations, and geotechnical considerations</li>

<li>Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (relevant experience may substitute formal education)</li>

<li>Proficient in engineering tools such asAnsys Workbench (or similar FEA), AutoCAD, Inventor, Ansys, MathCad Prime, and Cyclone 3DR for point cloud processing</li>

<li>Skilled in product development and manufacturing methodologies, including aluminum extrusion (hot and cold), die design, and prototyping, among others</li>

Location for this role is either in our offices in either in our Headquarters in Vindafjord (Nedre Vats) or Oslo (Lysaker).
