On behalf of our client, we are looking for a highly skilled Senior Engineer -- Marine Engineering to join an exciting project in Oslo. This role involves taking a leading position in marine installation engineering and contributing to the successful execution of complex offshore projects.
Responsibilities
<ul><li>Prepare and manage project documentation, including MDR, procurement plans, technical specifications, operational procedures, and calculations.</li><li>Perform design modifications and protection performance evaluations based on soil data.</li><li>Participate in document reviews (DIC, IDC) and ensure accurate as-built documentation.</li><li>Ensure compliance with project-specific and corporate HSE and quality requirements.</li><li>Establish and manage interface requirements and assist in resolving interface issues.</li><li>Follow up subcontracted work (Survey, ROV, vessel operations, and other contracted services) and suppliers.</li><li>Participate in client meetings and progress reviews.</li><li>Conduct Safe Job Analysis, HAZOPs, and FMEA as required.</li><li>Delegate work packages and monitor progress.</li><li>Provide offshore supervision when needed.</li><li>Contribute to department development, including tools, checklists, and templates.</li><li>Train new personnel and participate in tender work, R&amp;D, and investment projects.</li></ul>
Qualifications
<ul><li>Strong technical expertise in marine installation engineering and cable-laying operations.</li><li>Excellent communication skills in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken.</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li><li>High attention to quality and on-time delivery.</li><li>Adaptability and problem-solving skills under pressure.</li></ul>
Work Experience
<ul><li>5--10 years of relevant engineering experience.</li><li>Offshore experience is required, preferably with export cable or interconnector projects.</li></ul>
Education
<li>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.</li>
